I finally had some free time in the shop, and due to some requests, I started building some folding knives. They are real simple in design, not spring locked or anything. Just a simple friction folder for your bag or pocket. The blades are made to use.. These aren't "play pretties"

I am taking orders on these in a little different way. I usually accept "custom" orders for most everything..You know, your measurements and specifications... NOT ON THESE!! Sometimes that tends to suck the "fun" outta it.. So put your slide rules & micrometers away... I am doing these in several styles, sizes and with different blade styles. Straight, spear, drop-point, Sheepsfoot and mebby a wee dagger or two... And I am doing them in wood and antler (as available). Most are right plain, there may be some fancy ones interspaced in there.. Pewter decorations, tacked, inlaid ..dunno...

If you want a folder, tell me, I'll build you one.. My choice of style and material... if you have a blade STYLE preference, tell me. If you want to carry it in your pants pocket, tell me.. I will scale it down and not build it too large. "Gee, is that a knife, or are you just glad to see me??"

I am not doing it this way to be a pain (well, mebby a little), I am doing this because I enjoy doing them and every one of them will be different.. The materials will dictate the final product.. Along wi' that wee voice that says "Enough, that's good, leave it be now"

I didn't think I would have to spell this out to anyone, but evidently I was wrong. When I say that these are simple FRICTION FOLDERS , no retaining clips or springs, I am not kidding. Friction and use holds these open. If you get one and decide you do not want it because it doesn't lock. Especially after I have stated that IS the case. Good luck on ebay.
